Man & teen charged in stabbings

DEWITT COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — Two people face charges after two others were stabbed.

It happened just before midnight Sunday, in the 400-block of North William Street, Farmer City.

Local man, 19-year old Miles Upton, is charged with aggravated battery; a 17-year old male is charged with misdemeanor battery; and both are charged with criminal damage to property.

Upton is in police custody; the teen was released to his parents.

Authorities say 18-year old Stephen Nixon, of Farmer City sustained serious injuries from the stabbing; 23-year old Kelsie Davis suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

No word on a motive for the attack. It’s still under investigation.
