Man shot while walking

DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA) — One man was shot several times while walking. It happened about 9:45 pm, Tuesday, on Johns.

Two men were standing in the lot of John’s Hill school when another man standing in the street fired about six shots.

The victim was struck in the buttocks and lower right leg. He ran and, after falling to the ground, crawled onto a porch where the homeowner called police. The victim’s injuries are not life-threatening.

It’s not known if he was the intended target. No suspect descriptions were available.
