DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — A Vermilion County man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for criminal sexual assault of a child.

The Vermilion County State’s Attorney says Corey Kilgore of Allerton is accused of molesting a
17 year-old female since she was 12 years old. Kilgore pled guilty to one count of predatory criminal
sexual assault of a child and two counts of criminal sexual assalt.

He was sentenced to 10 years on each count to be served for a total of 30 years. He must serve at least 85% of the sentence and will be required to register for life as sexual predator.

The victim described several acts of sexual penetration that took place between 2013 and 2018. Police say her statement led police to a second girl who reported Kilgore also committed acts on her when she was 8-10 years old.
