Man indicted for drug-induced homicide

SANGAMON COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — Wednesday, an indictment was announced for a man on charges of drug-induced homicide.

Justin Callarman was arrested and is being held on $500,000 bond.

Authorities say Callarman gave a controlled substance, containing heroin and fentanyl, to someone who subsequently died from the substance.

Drug induced homicide is a class X felony with a penalty of between 15 – 30 years in prison.
