IROQUOIS COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — A Milford man was sentenced to more than 20-years in prison for throwing a tomahawk at a sheriff’s deputy.
Kevin Funk was found guilty on charges of attempted murder and aggravated battery.
In August 2016, deputies came to arrest Funk on other charges when he threw the weapon at a deputy’s head.
The officer was able to block it with his arm, but was injuried and had to have surgery.
He’s since returned to duty.
