Local Head Start programs score high

CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — Central Illinois Head Start programs are being recognized for how teachers interact with students.

Head Start assesses classrooms every three years in Champaign, Urbana, Savoy and Rantoul. They look at emotional support, classroom organization, teacher sensitivity and more.

Central Illinois scored above the national average in those areas.
