BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WCIA) — One group plans on having its biggest festival yet this weekend. The Lincoln Festival on Route 66 kicks off Friday.
For the tenth year of the celebration, the festival will also celebrate Illinois’ Bicentennial.
Included this year, the Illinois Shakespeare Festival is expanding its role, announcing a symposium exploring Lincoln’s love of Shakespeare’s writing.
There will also be concerts Friday and Satuday nights, along with a car show also on Saturday.
