Lake dredging project complete

Local News

DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA) — The Lake Decatur dredging project is now complete.

The lake supervisor says they are currently taking the equipment apart.

They will be restoring areas that may have been torn apart or damaged during the project.

Crews finished the final dredging back in December.

The project cost around 91 million dollars.

City leaders hope this will improve the quality of the lake.
