DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA) — The former principal of Crestwood School, in Paris, has been unanimously approved to take over as principal of Dennis Lab School. Daniel Lynch starts his new position July 15.

Lynch has 25-years of experience in education having started as a social studies teacher at Mayo Middle School, in Paris, then becoming a high school teacher and social studies department chair for the Paris Cooperative High School.

“I am blessed and more importantly humbled by this opportunity to come to Decatur Public School district,” shared Daniel Lynch. “My philosophy is about loving children first and then teaching them. I can’t wait to develop the relationships within this community, within our neighborhood, with our families, with our staff and the students. Because that’s the foundation for success. I can’t wait to get started.”
