ILLINOIS (WCIA) — After three state troopers died on Illinois roads this year, officers continue cracking down on dangerous drivers.
Distracted Driving Awareness Week was April 21 – 27. During that time, troopers issued 569 distracted driving citations, 5,702 citations for other traffic violations, and 6,763 written warnings.
They say the use of cellphones for all drivers is absolutey prohibited. ISP asks all motorists to “drop it and drive” and focus on the task at hand.
