Islamic support

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA)– The community came together to show support for the Islamic community. Last week a gunman opened fire at mosques in New Zealand. At least 50 people are dead and another 50 are injured.

The Greater Springfield Interfaith Association and The Islamic Society of Greater Springfield had a peace vigil. They say unity is important in times like this. They’re hoping this will bring more hope and peace to those who are dealing with the attack.
