Local News

ILLINOIS (WCIA) — Six new cases of Hepatitis A have been confirmed in the state.

The Illinois Department of Public Health says one is in Central Illinois and three others are in East Central Illinois.

They say they’re concerned with how many cases appeared within the last month and are working to make the Hepatitis A vaccine more available at local health departments.

It makes 75 cases so far this year in the state.
