CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — The Champaign County Humane Society is having their annual garage sale over the weekend, but this one is going to be different than previous years.
It’s going to be held at the old Rogards store in downtown. Normally the sale goes all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but Friday’s hours are only in the evening because of the new location. Coordinators say it really doesn’t matter what time people come, there’s always going to be good stuff for you to find.
“Underneath every table we have boxes of more good stuff,” said Mary Tiefenbrunn, Champaign County Humane Society Executive Director. “So if you can’t come first thing in the morning, we still have good stuff. Our volunteers are here all day during the sale days and they’re constantly pulling out more good stuff from under the table and putting it on top. Even if you come in the afternoon you’re still going to see new stuff we didn’t get to see in the morning.”
The sale starts Friday at 6 and goes until 9. You’re asked to park across the street at the Christie Clinic parking lot. For more information on the garage sale and more hours, click here.
