Hospital emergency room flooded

Update: 9:00 am, 5/17/19, Friday

DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — Because of Thursday’s severe weather, the emergency department at OSF HealthCare Sacred Heart Medical Center sustained some flooding.

Patients were moved to different areas of the hospital and patient care was not interrupted.

Anyone needing to access the emergency department Friday should enter on North Logan until further notice.

Employees are moving patients to safety. The Village Mall is also closed. Streets are flooded and there are reports of hail.
