SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — The “Holy Goalie” will take the ice for an eighth straight year, and this year he is bringing a big name to the rink with him.

Bishop Thomas John Paprocki will play hockey to raise money for the Catholic Charities Legal Services program. This year, former Blackhawk Grant “Granny” Mulvey will join him.

Mulvey owns the Blackhawks’ record for most goals in a game, and most goals in a period. The action starts Wednesday, 7 pm, at the Nelson Center, in Springfield.
