Helping people with disabilities through competition

UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS (WCIA) — UI students put their heads together this weekend to try to help people with disabilities.

Organizers say this was the first Make-A-Thon which focused on technology for people who are disabled.

Students from different colleges started Friday night, brainstorming ideas.

They created products to help with daily tasks like putting on clothes and preventing falls. Three teams tied for first place.
