Help ID suspect using stolen credit cards

CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — Authorities are investigating a case of deceptive practice and are looking for help identifying a suspect.

It happened between 4:30 – 8 pm, Friday, August 10, at Circle K, in the 1500-block of North Neil Street, as well as Dollar General and Walgreens, both in the 800-block of Bloomington Road.

A man used stolen credit cards to make purchases at all three businesses. He’s described as a heavy set man, black, shorter in stature. He was wearing a dark-colored hat, white tank top and dark shorts.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers. Tipsters are always 100% completely anonymous.

All tips submitted to Crime Stoppers are electronically stripped of any personally identifying information and processed by a third-party answering service, not law enforcement.

Cash rewards up to $1,000 are paid for information leading to an arrest. Tipsters will never be asked their name and are given a secret code number to use when checking on a possible reward.
