CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — Authorities want help identifying a man accused of retail theft. Authorities responded to Walmart, in the 2600-block of North Prospect, Champaign, about 6 pm, Monday, February 18 for a report of shoplifting.
A man tried to steal three arcade game consoles worth more than $600. The suspect was reportedly acting suspicious.
He left his cart several times, walked to the front of the store to talk to another man, then left the store and returned wearing different clothing.
The suspect is a man, white, in his 30s, with short, shaved hair and a brown goatee.
The first time he entered the store, he was wearing a black hoodie and jeans. The second time, he was wearing a black, zip-up jacket and red-and-black trapper-style hat.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police who can arrange to speak privately with you. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous may also submit tips to Crime Stoppers.
