Local News

DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — You have the chance to voice your concerns Tuesday night about a proposed project involving the Middle Fork of the Vermilion River.

Dynegy-Vistra is proposing a plan to stop erosion near coal ash pits along the river. The plan would install more than 22,000 cubic yards of protective rock along the Middle River near Kickapoo State Park.

The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency will host a hearing Tuesday night at 6 p.m. at the Danville Area Community College gym.
