DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA)– City and county officials broke ground on a multi-million dollar construction project. Crews started work on a connector road that will go from Brush College Road to Route 48. The city got the 10 million dollars for this project several years ago. This is just the start of several more projects.
They will be connecting Route 105 to Route 36 and then another road will lead from there to the Decatur Airport. In another part of town, 25 million dollars worth of federal money will help build an overpass at Brush College and Faries Parkway. City officials are excited because they say these projects will help people get around town, decrease congestion and improve business.
