DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — DACC is buzzing after receiving a new grant. It will put more honeybees in the campus garden.

DACC already has a few hives there, but this spring, it will get another, plus two more types of bees.

Honeybee populations had dwindled in the past several decades. Now, they’re on the rise again.

DACC officials say fostering bees is important because they pollinate the world. Having too few bees puts everything in danger.
