Grant given to improve grades

Local News

DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA) — The school district is getting an additional $1.5 million in federal money.

The grant is the result of the overhauled state report card. Grades were revealed last week.

The money is coming from the Title One School Improvement Grant. It’s given to schools with lower overall scores.

District leaders are still working to decide exactly what the money will be used for.
