CHAMPAIGN, Ill (WCIA)–Getting ready for the real world can be intimidating.

But one store is helping students dress to impress.

The JCPenney in Champaign teamed up with parkland college and the University of Illinois to make sure students have just the right outfit to land a job.

Students got those questions answered at the JCPenney suit up event.

Staff gave them tips and tricks to help put together their job ready outfit.

Students who came say before this event, they didn’t know where to start.

But because they came they are headed in the right direction.

JCPenney store manager says it’s not easy for people just starting out to buy a nice suit.

In addition to guidance on their wardrobe, they scored a 40% discount on their outfits.
