CENTRAL ILLINOIS (WCIA) — The body of a Tuscola man was recovered from a Springfield lake this weekend.
30-year old Chris Adkins and another man were fishing on Lake Sangchris Friday. Their boat filled with water and Adkins didn’t make it to shore.
His wife says he was a proud father, loving husband and fishing fanatic. That’s how she wants him to be remembered.
She says Adkins had been to Lake Sangchris four times in the past two months and what happened was a freak accident.
