FBI search leads to murder evidence

Local News

DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA) — FBI investigators say they’ve recovered evidence from a murder case in Lake Decatur.

This week, police helped with the case. The operation happened at Ivy Hill Park. The FBI believes the evidence is connected to the murder of Zachary Hubbartt.

The Windsor man was found shot to death in a house in August. Investigators aren’t saying what type of evidence was recovered. It will be tested at the state police crime scene lab.

Soon after the murder, Jason White and Ryan Waters were arrested on murder charges. Autumn Billings was arrested for obstruction of justice for misleading information.

Since the evidence recovery operation is over, officials say Ivy Hill Park will reopen.
