DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA) — A man authorities expected to survive a weekend shooting has succumbed to his injuries.
Marcel Whitfield, 32, was shot in the chest and thigh early Sunday morning outside Feeling Lucky in the 3700-block of North Woodford. Police say Whitfield was shot while sitting in his vehicle and stumbled into the business to seek help.
Officials are investigating the case as a murder, but no details about a suspect have been released.
