INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WCIA) — In November, the Clausen family learned their son, Bryce, has Krabbe disease.
The rare, fatal, neurological illness can only be treated if diagnosed in the first days of life.
The family is making the most of their time with Bryce. Part of that is working to get Krabbe disease on the list of Indiana’s newborn screening requirements.
Wednesday, it was made possible. The Indiana Senate voted unanimously on the bill to make it happen. The bill now moves on to the House.
