OAKWOOD, Ill. (WCIA) — The school district is banning essential oils at all schools and district buildings.

This includes all oils, aroma therapies and diffusers. They say it’s because of the potential for life-threatening allergic reactions and asthma attacks.

The school district says they want to provide a safe environment for all students and staff, and the ban is effective immediately.
