Equal Rights Amendment passes

ILLINOIS (WCIA) — The Illinois House passed the Equal Rights Amendment making the Land of Lincoln the 37th state to adopt the constitutional amendment.

It would guarantee equal rights for all Americans no matter their gender. Lawmakers can be seen clapping and hugging, bringing a 30-year debate to an end.
