CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — It was a special night for some people who do not usually get to jump around for fun.
Elevate Trampoline Park in Champaign held a sensory-friendly night over the weekend. They turned off the music and dialed down the distractions for people with special needs but wanted to jump.
An Urbana man brought his daughter out to meet with her friends. He says they enjoyed the opportunity. “I’m excited to have her be here with her friends. They need social activity and activities that are physical also help their brain development,” said Rich Flood. He was surprised to see the event hosted by Elevate, but says it was nice that they did.
