Elaborate disguise worn during armed heist

DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — Authorities want help identifying the suspect in the armed robbery of the Midwest American Credit Union. It happened about 4 pm, Tuesday, at the facility in the 200-block of North Gilbert Street.

An employee told police a woman with a note indicating she had a weapon demanded money fro the business. The suspect was wearing multiple items to disguise herself, but had a female voice.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was wearing a red coat, blue-and-black scarf, large sunglasses, pink beanie, black pants and black gloves.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers. You can remain anonymous and may earn a cash reward.
