CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Ebertfest leaders announced they will be returning to the city next year.

The numbers for this year aren’t out yet, but Visit Champaign County said the festival generates about $100,000 for the community in one day.

Organizers assume the numbers for 2019 won’t be much different from last year. It’s a combination of transportation, where people stay, where they eat and whatever else they buy while they’re in the area.

Organizers said they tossed around the idea of having part of the festival in Chicago and aonther part in Champaign, but there aren’t any plans to do that right now.
