UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS (WCIA) — Friday, Senator Tammy Duckworth (D) stopped by the UI’s RailTEC laboratory to check out students’ latest railroad improvement projects.
During her visit, she and UI leaders discussed research and new ways of improving infrastructure.
Right now, Duckworth is urging the Trump administration to announce new funding for these types of projects.
She says finding more money for infrastructure and transportation in Illinois is one of her top priorities.
