ILLINOIS (WCIA) — Sherrif’s offices across the state came together to raise awareness about Scott’s law; but despite their campaign, they gave out a lot of tickets.
They made 441 stops for people breaking the “Move Over” law. They also pulled over 289 drivers for breaking the “hands-free” law.
All of those stops were made in April alone.
In Champaign County, 10 drivers were ticketed and 3 warnings were given out for breaking “Scott’s Law.”
145 tickets and 24 warnings were given out for breaking the “hands-free” law.
