URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) — The Urbana School District has named Dr. Jennifer Ivory-Tatum as the new superintendent of Urbana schools.
The board met Sunday night to announce its decision from the three finalists for the job.
Jennifer Ivory-Tatum was deputy superintendent in Urbana. After learning she was going to be demoted to a grade school principal, she left for a job as assistant superintendent in Champaign.
The other two finalists were Brian Metcalf, who works in Chicago, and Kirk Koennecke, a superintedent in Ohio.
