Domino’s offers reward in death of driver

DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — Domino’s Pizza is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the fatal shooting of the business’ delivery driver. Half is from the local store the other half from the corporation.

41-year old Terry Gaines was shot dead about 10:20 pm, Tuesday, near Alexander and Madison streets after making a delivery in the area.

Witnesses told police two men approached Gaines as he walked back to his car and tried to rob him. There was a brief struggle before shots were fired.

The Domino’s location where Gaines worked has been closed since his shooting. Thursday, the business reopened.
