ARCOLA, Ill. (WCIA) — Area schools are getting top marks when it comes to district finances.
They got a perfect 4.0 when they were audited earlier this month. The auditor says, of the 30 districts he examines, he might not hand out another perfect score.
School officials say it’s great news for the future. Like other schools, Arcola still hasn’t gotten all the money the state owes it.
Superintendent Tom Mulligan says conservative spending and community contributions are to thank for the score.
