CENTRAL ILLINOIS (WCIA) — Public defenders for a man accused of bombing a mosque in Minnesota are asking a federal judge to deny prosecutors’ request to have his trial in Illinois postponed.

Michael Hari is charged with the attempted bombing of the Women’s Health Practice, in Champaign.

His lawyers say the federal government appears to be trying to “manipulate the speedy trial act.”
