CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — Prosecutors in the Brendt Christensen case say they’ve provided more forensic analysis to the defense than is necessary.
It comes after Christensen’s attorneys filed a motion stating the government failed to provide the needed analysis by the December 15 deadline.
The judge may choose to make a ruling on the motion and issue a response immediately or wait until a later date.
Christensen is accused of kidnapping UI scholar Yingying Zhang in June and being responsible for her murder. His trial is set to begin next month.
