Crews make second-story fire rescue

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WCIA) — Crews had to rescue one person when a fire broke out.

It happened about 10:30 am, Wednesday, at a two-story apartment building, in the area of Olive and Taylor. When crews arrived, smoke was coming from the upstairs apartment.

Firefighters rescued one person from a second-story window by ladder. The victim was taken to the hospital for an evaluation. The person’s condition is not known.

Damage is estimated at $10,000. The cause is under investigation.
