NATIONAL (WCIA) — The IRS electronic tax filing system crashed Tuesday, just hours before the midnight deadline.

But, if you haven’t filed yet, don’t worry. You can still do so by mail. But, be ready for long lines and wait times.

The post office, inside Altgeld Hall at UI, was one of the busiest locations because international students have to send part of their filings by mail.

Taxes are due by midnight unless you filed an extension.
