EFFINGHAM COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — The county board lost its fight to prevent an ambulance service from transporting patients. It affects non-emergency transports.
Lakeside EMS takes patients to-and-from different facilities in the area, but the county filed a court motion to try to stop them.
It claimed their ambulance ordinance and emergency transport contract with another ambulance service meant Lakeside couldn’t operate in the area.
Thursday, that motion was denied. Lakeside says it never stopped transporting patients and they will continue to take them.
