CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — City council members voted to pass multiple items on their agenda Tuesday night.
One was a vote to finalize construction on Bristol Place. Construction can now start on the 90 units of affordable, low-income housing.
Council members also voted to pass an ordinance prohibiting drinking and loitering in city parking lots and meters. Starting in July, drivers will be prohibited from doing anything which doesn’t relate to parking in city lots and meters.
The council also voted to pass the city’s budget for the fiscal year starting July 1, 2018 and ending June 30, 2019.
