HARRISTOWN, Ill. (WCIA) — Construction in the area could slow your commute.
The Illinois Department of Transportation will start work on a drainage system near Harristown Boulevard and Route 36.
There will be a lane open for emergency vehicles to get into the village but Mayor Evelyn Deverell says people who live west of the intersection will have to find an alternate route into Decatur.
Construction starts in June and work could last 50-days.
