Company fixing village’s water

Local News

SADORUS, Ill. (WCIA) — Soon people will have clean, odorless water for the first time in years.

Illinois American Water is investing $1.2 million into fixing the water system in town. Right now, many people don’t use the water at all because they say it smells and tastes bad.

The project manager says Illinois American Water be replacing the water main and connecting the village to the Champaign-Urbana water system. That process should start within the next month and finish by the end of the summer. The company also says water bills won’t go up as the switch happens.

Customers say they’re excited to have fresh water and to spend less on bottled water, which many people use as a replacement.
