DECATUR — An area family, eager for a new addition, turned to the community for help.
The Ford’s have been fighting since October to adopt 5-year old Noah, from China. The orphaned boy suffers from albinism and is considered special needs in his country.
It will cost the family nearly $30,000 to fully adopt Noah. They’ve partnered with Funds2Orgs and started a shoe donation.
The company takes used shoes and gives them to people in underdeveloped countries. So far, the Ford’s have collected 2,100 pairs of shoes.
