CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — The Champaign City Council is designating a street in honor of the Black Lives Matter movement.

Chester Street, between Neil and Walnut streets, is getting the special honors.

That’s also where people asked for a mural with the same message.

A street sign will be installed with special colors of black and yellow.

The council approved the city bill unanimously at Tuesday night’s meeting.
