VILLA GROVE, Ill. (WCIA)– Last week WCIA learned about a video a Villa Grove High School student had captured during class.
In the video, you can hear a teacher yelling at his class and saying something, that parents say, frightend students.
When speaking to Norman Tracy, the superintendent for Villa Grove schools, he said that the situation was taken out of context and that it’s a “non- issue”.
He also said that the teacher involved was investigated by both Villa Grove police and the school.
That teacher was not disciplined.
However, the family of the student who took the video says, they were given detention for having their phone out during class.
