SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — Two people are in the hospital after a crash, and it all started with a drug investigation.

The Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office tried to stop a car near Manor and Livingston around 2:24 Tuesday afternoon. The suspect wouldn’t pull over and sped off. Deputies put out an Attempt to Locate over the radio.

That’s when Springfield police found the car had been involved in a two car crash near Dirksen Pkwy. and South Grand Ave. 21 year old Zariah Roe and 26 year old Andy Broyles were taken to the hospital. They’re expected to be ok. Sangamon County State’s Attorney’s Office is investigating the drug charges and crash.
