MONTICELLO, Ill. (WCIA) — Saturday, UI 4-H Memorial Camp was filled with kids that had one thing in common.
They’d all lost someone close to them. They spent the day at Camp Healing Heart learning how to cope with their grief.
Kids ranged from 5 – 17, and they had volunteers and super hero buddies to get them through the day. Organizers say children walk away with a tool box to help them deal with their loss in the future.
